Raising a Dinosaur Giant

So we have been learning all about dinosaurs.  This week we are going to become Paleontologists and attempt to "Raise a Dinosaur Giant"!!  Check out this cool PBS video about how real Paleontologists find, clean, and raise a dinosaur skeleton, then check back to see if we are able to make a cool reproduction ourselves.  It should be really fun!!

Let's Become Dinosaurs!!!

It's that time of year again...time to learn about, sing about, read about, write about, and pretend to be...DINOSAURS!!!  This is always one of the more exciting units of study, and one that the students won't soon forget.  Check out some Dino Mask information, then look at some of the masks we have made in previous years.  Get creative, have some fun, and make something really AWESOME!!

AT-HOME PROJECT:  Make a Dinosaur Mask  (Due Thursday 5/25)

Okay class, for the next three weeks we will be learning about dinosaurs.  We will focus on identifying and classifying dinosaurs into 3 categories:

Carnivores – meat eaters

Herbivores – plant eaters

Omnivores – meat & plant eaters

Your task is to MAKE a dinosaur mask to wear to school on Thursday (5/25) that your friends can use to guess what kind of food you ate.  I will also be making a mask because it will be a lot of FUN!!

You can look online for ideas, but you need to make it yourself.  Be creative.  No print and color projects allowed.  HOMEMADE!!

I will see all you “terrible lizards” at the end of the month!!
